some chairs.

I stopped in at Pier 1 Imports today and saw lots of chairs I liked. The bottom two are actually not white and black, but more white and dark brown. And all of these are on sale!

i'll take one of these. . .

i just need to have those chairs against the wall reupholstered in this, and then i'll be all finished with this room!

just a l'il bit of red makes me smile

My thing right now is little bits of red. Love the little settee in this bottom picture and also the table's centerpiece.

a sun room i like

If I had a sun room, i would want it to look something like this. image from house beautiful.

seating for three

A smart and pretty solution if you're short on space. Seating for three with a lovely view of lots of pretty white orchids--which make the table look like it's meant to be there. From style files.

a summer centerpiece

What a simply beautiful idea for a window box or centerpiece. You could line the middle of your summer table with several of these cans of flowers. Brought to you from the camera of la porte rouge. The photography of this blog is gorgeous.

What is it with me & yellow?

Enough already. I know. I just keep finding yellow things I like. I like whimsical things used sparingly. That is why I love doing children's rooms. But I might possibly like this in my dining room. From parc monceau.
I would like this to be the table setting at my next dinner party. What a perfect way to have spring bulbs inside your house. And of course I love this. . . (because I love green.)

Sconces

The next step in my current project (the dining room) is finding sconces. I have found many that I love, but I want ones for candles, and that has been a lot harder. I adore this one. Unfortunately for me the price tag is $780 (who???) and alas it is a non-candle holder.

Here are my non-mirrored (another requirement-since they'll be on either side of my big mirror), candle holding options. First ones, from Z Gallerie.
